What made you decide to get a Pomsky?
I had never heard of a Pomsky, until I was at dog training. There was this beautiful little husky, I fell in love with. Although I hadn’t plucked up the courage to actually meet her or speak to her mum.
After about a year, I eventually got talking to her mum, and discovered the beautiful girl was a Pomsky. I spoke regularly to, even looked into the breed. I eventually became friends outside of dog training, and loved to meet up with her and her mum for walks. I was totally hooked! I needed my own little Pomsky for my little family.
I researched the breeder to make sure everything was OK, and all dogs were loved, cared for and health checked before breeding. My chance came along! Although this was for a F1b Pomsky. I was determined that it had to be a girl with blue eyes! And when I saw the little puppy, I fell head over heels for a boy with brown eyes!
What’s the funniest story you have about your Pomsky?
My little angel has “little dog syndrome” He thinks nothing of running up to huge dogs and being as loud as he can! His favorite dog to do this too is a great dane at dog training! The poor thing is scared of little Dexter, and runs a mile, which Dexter thinks is great fun.
What makes your Pomsky so great?
All Pomsky’s are great.
But, as he’s my special boy, he’s what makes my heart melt every morning I open my eyes, and every time I see him.
What’s one dog product you couldn’t live without?
My rake! Lol as he’s double coated, I brush him every 2-3 days
What’s your best advice for someone who’s considering getting a Pomsky?
Pomskys can take on either the husky or Pom traits. And therefore, can be stubborn, poor recall like a husky, or yappy like the Pom. But a great breeder will match the right puppy to your needs.
